Week 04: Fast Pivots, Deep Work and Quiet Progress
Welcome to Week 04 of the oneweek.dev Weekly Summary, a week that stretched across many different corners of my work, from frontend conferences to mobile ad systems, from printable kits to backend configs, from inspiration to execution.
If last week carried the energy of curiosity, this one was about clarity.
Clarity about what matters right now.
Clarity about what opportunities deserve a pivot.
Clarity about which details are worth the deep work.
Some weeks feel chaotic, this one felt oddly grounded, even with the context-switching. A reminder that showing up every day builds a kind of creative endurance.
This week’s logs
Nov 16 — Planet cards, scavenger hunt & tiny discoveries
#kitofhappiness
Designed planet cards, fun facts, and scavenger-hunt items. Tiny creative details that make the Space Explorer Kit feel alive.

Nov 17 — Getting close to the first release of the Space Explorer Kit
#kitofhappiness
Reached around 35 pages of the printable kit — almost ready for its first release, before pausing to focus on the partnership opportunity that appeared for Temettü.
Nov 18 — Building configurable banner spaces in mobile app
#temettu
Started building a flexible banner system for Temettü: sticky bottom banners, list-based banners, and future placements. A foundational feature for custom partnerships and smoother monetization.

Nov 19 — Preparing partner docs for banner placements
#temettu
Wrapped up the static banner config, documented usage, and turned it into a partner-ready PDF. Next step: moving everything to remote configs to avoid future app releases.
Nov 20 — Catching up with React Summit US: Day 1
A full betterment day dedicated to learning: React compiler deep dives, hydration strategies, SEO revelations, and a refreshingly calm day of absorbing ideas.
Nov 21 — Particles, pixels & beyond: React Summit US: Day 2
A rest + learning day following the second day of React Summit US — creative frontend, RTL design, hydration, signals, and the reminder that frontend is where math meets art.

Nov 22 — Figuring out in-viewport detection in React Native for ad tracking
#temettu
Dived deep into IAB-compliant mobile viewability: ≥50% visibility, 1s continuous exposure, scroll-velocity checks, foreground-only tracking, and fully custom impression logic across hooks like useInView, useAdAnalytics, and useScrollTracking.
A week of pivoting with intention
This week also held a quiet but important realization.
I had planned to finish and release the first Kit of Happiness product but when a real partnership opportunity appeared for Temettü, I shifted instantly. And that pivot changed the entire week.
Instead of forcing the plan:
- built the full partnership infrastructure in five days,
- implemented a proper ad/banner system,
- added analytics and tracking,
- prepared partner docs,
- shipped a production release (3.2.2),
- and turned a casual opportunity into something actually meaningful.
It reminded me of something simple but powerful:
You don’t lose momentum by changing direction.
You lose momentum by ignoring reality.
Showing up daily gives you the muscle to adapt quickly when it matters.
Another week, another small stack of quiet progress: technical, creative, and everything between.
See you next Sunday for Week 05. ✨
