Week 05: Finishing a Universe, Slow Cabin Days and Quiet Tools

    3 min read

Welcome to Week 05 of the oneweek.dev Weekly Summary — a week that lived somewhere between deep creative completion, technical housekeeping, and the soft reset that comes from stepping away for a moment.

If last week's theme was clarity, this one was about closure.

    Closing loops.
    Finishing pages.
    Shipping updates.
    Letting things settle.

And somewhere in between, a small cabin in the woods, a fireplace, and a reminder that stepping back is also part of building.

    This week’s logs

Nov 23 — Moving banners to remote config + a tiny admin dashboard
    #temettu
A fast execution day: new releases for iOS and Android, moving banner configs into a remote endpoint, and adding a lightweight internal JSON editor for partners — all designed to ship updates without new app releases.

Nov 24 — Back to space explorer kit: postcards, puzzles & creative flow
    #kitofhappiness
Returning to the Space Explorer Kit: postcards, mazes, crosswords, and a tiny Gemini-powered tool to help generate puzzles for future kits. A day of pure creative flow.

    kit progress

Nov 25 — Adding the final activity pages for the first kit
    #kitofhappiness
Wrapped up all core pages — control panels, alien cutouts, creative extras. Only parent instructions and refinements left before preparing the first listing.

Nov 26 — Adding parent instructions & improving the planet orbit activity
    #kitofhappiness
After early feedback, added a new riddle page to teach the order of planets before the orbit activity. The kit grew to 29 activity pages — aiming for 30 but keeping it natural.

Nov 27 — Polishing the kit & first physical print test
    #kitofhappiness
Final detail work, a credits page, and the very first physical print test. The astronaut mask turned out tiny (perfect for our CPO), so page sizes were adjusted. Printed pages made it all feel real.

Nov 28 — A roadtrip to the cabin for weekend getaway
A busy final workday followed by a long drive out of Berlin to a quiet cabin — a weekend of wood-burning stoves, stillness, and slow reset energy.

Nov 29 — A slow cabin day, books, fireplace & binge watching
A day of small chaos, warmth, wood smoke, comfort shows, and letting myself simply exist.

    A week of finishing things

The Space Explorer Kit; something I’ve been slowly building across tiny pockets of time finally reached completion this week.

    Pages finalized.
    Instructions added.
    Print tests done.
    Export files ready.

At the same time, Temettü’s partnership infrastructure quietly matured: remote-config banners, tracking, analytics, and a small admin tool to support it.

And between it all, a cabin reset reminded me (again) that stepping away is not the opposite of progress, it is what allows you to return with clarity.

Another week of making, learning, adjusting, and finishing.
A small orbit of its own.

See you next Sunday for Week 06.
