Week 08: When Constraints Fall Away
Welcome to Week 08 of the oneweek.dev Weekly Summary. This week felt like a turning point.
If last week was about contrast, this one was about foundation.
I spent time reflecting on what matters.
Planning what comes next.
Celebrating quiet milestones.
And letting new ideas breathe without pressure.
Some weeks are about shipping. This one was about alignment. The work that makes everything else possible.
This week's logs
Dec 14 — A failed attempt at fixing SEO (and accepting it)
#temettu
I tried to untangle client-side logic from the main layout, hit some architectural limits, and realized this needs a deeper, team-level effort. Some days you move forward by failing fast and learning where the real work actually is.
Dec 15 — Sourdough, slow evenings & planting new ideas
A real rest day. Went to a four-hour sourdough bread workshop that turned into a grounding evening. Took some photos and stories that will probably turn into content for goberliner.com 🐻, a curated directory of authentic Berlin experiences we started thinking about this summer.

Dec 16 — Refactoring layouts and organizing the idea garden
#oneweek-dev
Refactored all of our web projects except Temettü. Fixed layout issues, improved SEO basics, and organized things into a more coherent structure. It's like creating a place where ideas can rest until they're ready to grow again.
Dec 17 — Thinking about a gap year (again)
Been thinking about freedom, residency, and whether it's time for another intentional pause. Permanent residency is finally here, and that brings a new kind of freedom. No decision yet, just questions, pros and cons, and honest reflection.
Dec 18 — Letting the digital stamps live on the web
#stampie
Picked up my permanent residency card in the morning. In the evening, I gave up on no-computer days and started thinking about putting Stampie Stamps directly on the web, letting them exist quietly online with detail pages, metadata, and maps.

Dec 19 — Revisiting owned domains & shaping 2026 focus and goals
#noecrafts
Went through our domain portfolio, revived old projects with lightweight foundations, and figured out a clear 2026 focus pyramid. Also finally bought a new computer after too many screen replacements. Today felt less about output and more about getting things aligned.
Dec 20 — Further exploring Stampie as digital goodies
#stampie
Added a Shop area to Stampie, turning travel stamps into printable poster-style products. Started with two products: Travel Stamp Poster and Travel Map Poster. Keeping it open and playful, no expectations, just letting creativity flow without pressure.

A week of foundation
This week felt different from the ones before it.
It wasn't about shipping big features or launching products. Instead, it was about taking stock. What we have, what we want, and where we're heading.
Permanent residency arrived, removing constraints that shaped years of decisions. A new computer is on the way, resetting tools for the long run. A 2026 focus pyramid took shape, giving each project clear intention. And in between, small creative experiments kept going: Stampie, Go Berliner, quiet ideas finding their place.
Some weeks are about momentum.
This one was about preparation.
Another week of reflection, planning, and the quiet work that makes everything else possible.
See you next Sunday for Week 09. ✨
